Cookie policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used when you visit the Nedbank Gravel Burn website (gravel-burn.com). It adds to our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser, so it can remember something about your visit: for example, that you’re in the middle of a chat. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way; we call them all “cookies” here.
Our own cookies
Our website doesn’t set any cookies of its own. The fonts, images and site search all come from our own website. It remembers your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage.
Cookies from services we use
A few services on our website are provided by other companies, and they may set cookies:
| Service | When | What it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | On every page | Counts visits and shows us how our website is used: which pages are read, and how visitors found us. |
| Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) | On every page | Tells Meta that you visited our website, so we can show our ads to visitors on Instagram and Facebook and see how well our ads work. |
| Zoho SalesIQ (live chat) | On every page | Runs our live chat. It remembers your chat as you move between pages, and records your visit (the pages you view on our website and how you found us) so our team can help you. |
| Zoho Forms (contact form) | On the Contact page | Runs our contact form and protects it from spam. |
| Route map (OpenFreeMap, AWS Terrain Tiles) | On the Route and stage pages | Loads the map and terrain images. Sets no cookies. |
| YouTube | Only when you press play on a video | Plays the video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. |
Google Analytics and the Meta pixel are loaded through Google Tag Manager, which sets no cookies itself.
Zoho explains its cookies in the Zoho Cookie Policy, Google (Analytics and YouTube) in How Google uses cookies, and Meta in the Meta Cookies Policy.
When you follow a link from our website to another one, such as Quicket for entries or VIP Bicycle Logistics for bike transport, that website’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
Your choices
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we ask before Google Analytics and the Meta pixel start, and they only run if you accept. Elsewhere, they run unless you decline. You can change your choice at any time with the button at the end of this page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, and most browsers let you do this for individual websites. Our website works without cookies, but the live chat may not: if you block them, contact us by the form, WhatsApp or email instead.
Changes and questions
We’ll update this policy if the services on our website change, and show the date of the latest version at the top. Questions about cookies or your personal information: email info@gravel-burn.com.
